Our family farms are owned and operated by families who make their living from farming and are involved in daily activities of the farm. Our farmers are sound business people and have developed diversified farms with both livestock and grain farming enterprises, which allow them to produce many of their own inputs.
Integral to the rural communities that they sustain, family farms have always been among the most socially responsible businesses in the U.S. Caring for the well-being of their workers, their animals, and their land is second nature to family farmers.
Our goal is to keep market access open for our family farmers, by providing direct access to food retailers and food service businesses. We make sure our farmers are paid fairly for the premium product they produce because we believe in fairly distributing profits all the way down the chain.
To ensure the satisfaction of our customers, we strive for consistency among our farms, so that the product they provide is always available and of a consistently high quality. Our farms use similar genetics, feed and health programs and share the same key elements of barn design.
